Last week approaching!

Hello band and orchestra students and parents,

Here is some important info.

1. All orchestra students who would like to be in chamber strings and all current band 9th graders who would like to be in symphonic band next year should plan to do an audition for Mr. VB during exam week. The audition will take less than 5 minutes. Please email Mr. VB if you are interested and to sign up for a time.

2. Here is the band information for Monday's Memorial Day Parade.

3. Don't forget to sign up for summer lessons. A great way to start on a solo, get caught up, and to prepare for auditions for scholarships!

4. On Monday the symphonic band is playing for the Memorial Day Service in the cemetery at 11 am, following the parade. We are in need of a few parent volunteers to help set up and transport music stands, a few percussion items, and tubas. Please let me know if you can help out.

5.  Please turn in your band/orchestra uniform during these times:

Tuesday, May 31 from 8 am to 12 pm
Wednesday, June 1 from 8 am to 12 pm

Mrs. Carol Redder will be at school during these times and she handles uniform turn in. All uniforms and all uniform parts must be turned in during these times. Please extend your gratitude to her for all the time that she invests supporting music education at Holland Christian.

thank you!

Important Year End Information

Hello band and orchestra students and parents,

Here we are wrapping another year up! Here is some info for you!

1. Please turn in your band/orchestra uniform during these times:
Monday, May 23 from 11 am to 12 pm
Tuesday, May 31 from 8 am to 12 pm
Wednesday, June 1 from 8 am to 12 pm
Mrs. Carol Redder will be at school during these times and she handles uniform turn in. All uniforms and all uniform parts must be turned in during these times. Please extend your gratitude to her for all the time that she invests supporting music education at Holland Christian.

2. Think about summer music lessons as a great way to advance yourself musically! You can sign up with me or I can connect you with another great private teacher for your instrument.

3. A special thank you to parents for the way that you have supported music education for your children and for HCHS! From helping rouse sleepy teenagers and transporting them to early rehearsals to delivering forgotten instruments, paying for music lessons, and giving that word of encouragement when it was needed most, you have played an absolutely crucial role in your children's music education!

thank you!
