Happy Snow Day!

Dear band and orchestra students and parents,

I am enjoying a music conference in Grand Rapids today with nearly 9,000 musicians, teachers, and presenters all learning about music! I hope you are enjoying a relaxing day.

1. The basketball game is on for tonight and the pep band is planning to play. Please plan to be at the Civic Center by 6:15 p.m.

2. The north doors to HCHS and the band/orchestra room doors will be open between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. today so that you can stop in school to pick up your instruments for home practice and for pep band.

3. Symphonic Band playing test is due Monday.

4. Orchestra playing test is due next Friday. 

5. Keep practicing solo and ensemble festival music!

Back in the swing of things!

Dear band and orchestra students and parents,

I hope you are having a wonderful January, this has been a great week of rehearsals! Here is the information you need to know.

1. Pep Band tonight, be at the Civic by 6:15 p.m., we play at 6:30 p.m.

2. Recital night is on Monday evening in the band/orchestra room and choir room! Come on out and hear the hard work of these 50 plus students! Here is the schedule.

3. Next week Tuesday is our next pep band, hope to see many of you there.

4. The solo and ensemble participants have received a schedule with their times for Saturday, February 9 at Zeeland East High School. It is also here.

5. The Symphonic Band will be participating in the MSBOA Band Festival at West Ottawa's PAC on Wed., Feb. 27 at 4:00 p.m.

6. The (strings only) Orchestra will be participating in the MSBOA Orchestra Festival at Jenison HS's PAC on Thurs., Feb. 28 at 4:05 p.m.
