March Madness

Dear band and orchestra students and parents,

The weather of March certainly seems to come in like a lion, here's hoping it goes out like a lamb. Musically speaking it seems like March will roar the whole month long. :) Here is some information to keep you in the loop about what is going on!

1. The HCHS Chamber Orchestra will be helping to lead worship at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church (9:30 a.m.) on Sunday morning and at Niekerk CRC (6:00 p.m.) on Sunday evening! You are welcome to join us!

2. We are beginning plans for a Florida trip in the spring of 2020 and we are looking for parents who would be willing to be on a Florida Trip Committee. Please email me if you would be interested in helping out. svandenberg@hollandchristian.org

3. I wanted to pass along some advanced scheduling information for 2020. We are in the beginning stages of plans for our concert band, symphonic band, and orchestra trip to Florida with performances at Disney World. We are tentatively planning on departing Holland on Wednesday, April 1 and wrapping up our trip with a worship service on Sunday, April 5 and a return trip arriving back in Holland on Monday, April 6. Some families travel to Florida and have their children stay with them at the end of the trip rather than ride the charter bus back to Holland, MI. We have lots more info to come and the trip is not required, but thought it might be nice to pencil in the date on your calendars.

4. We need volunteers to bring a dessert to Swingin' the Night Away. Please sign up and find out more info here and thanks for your support of the music program at Holland Christian High School.
