Band Concert Tomorrow!

 Hello band and orchestra students and parents,

These announcements are for members of concert band, symphonic band, jazz orchestra, and jazz combo.

1. Share this announcement with family and friends who don't fit into our 4 persons per student: 

Come celebrate music with our elementary, middle, and high school band students at Holland Christian’s annual Band Extravaganza on Wednesday, March 24!  

Join us via livestream at: youtube.com/hclive

5th and 6th grade at 6:00 p.m.

7th and 8th grade at 7:00 p.m.

High School at 8:00 p.m.

This concert provides a beautiful picture of the progression of music education at Holland Christian.  We would love to share our music with you!

2. Band students should arrive at the high school between 7:40 and 7:45 p.m. in their concert uniform.

3. We will plan on no early jazz orchestra rehearsal on Thursday.

Band Concert on Wednesday!

 Dear band and orchestra students and parents,

We are looking forward to our band concert on Wednesday evening at 8:00 p.m.

We can't wait to share our music with you!

Here are a few announcements:

1. We are in need of volunteers to help out at the concert. Please sign up here if you are willing to help out.

2. We have uniforms set out for both band and orchestra students to take home today (or Monday if you miss today), so that they can be in concert dress for the concert. Try on your uniform this weekend. Mrs. Redder (our uniform expert) will be at school on Monday only to help if students need uniform changes. Students will need dressy black shoes/socks.

3. When concert attendees arrive on Wednesday evening we will have volunteers to check you in so that we are within our 4 guests per performing student limit. Masks are required and we will be leaving plenty of space for social distancing between family groups. There will be an offering bucket at the check in table for donations to help support the music department at Holland Christian. 

4. Band and Orchestra students remember to take your instrument home today to practice over the weekend. Also remember to take your instrument back to school next week Monday. :)

Spring Schedule Shaping Up!

 Dear band and orchestra students and parents,

Here are a few updates and additions to our schedule.

We will be following required safety protocols at concerts, which include limiting each student to 4 guests. Masks will be required and we will also be live-streaming the concerts.

Saturday, April 24 - band/orchestra bonfire bash, 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. - a local, socially distanced, outdoor, fun event, more info to come, parent volunteers needed (email me)

Thursday, May 20 - symphonic band, concert band, jazz ensembles concert 7:30 p.m., location TBA

Tuesday, March 16 - symphonic band festival recording during class in school clothes

Wednesday, March 24 - band concert, 8:00 p.m. in concert dress (see previous blog for info on other HC bands), HCHS gym
