Here comes December!

Dear band and orchestra students and parents,

Ham fundraiser orders are due tomorrow. Here is the info:

Interested in another opportunity to raise money for next year's Florida trip? This is an optional fundraiser. Try this ham sale fundraiser. All profit from the sale goes directly to your individual cost for the trip.

1. Did you know that the HCHS chamber orchestra is playing at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at Pillar Church services on Sunday morning and at 5:00 p.m. at Central Ave. Christian Reformed Church on Sunday evening? Come join us in worship in this advent season.

2. The band is planning to do combined band family flex rehearsals on Wednesday, Nov. 30 and Wednesday, Dec. 14 to help us prepare for combined numbers in our Christmas concert.

3. The pep band is planning to play for these home basketball games. Please let me know of any conflicts so that we can plan accordingly. All band students should plan to attend.

Friday, January 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Civic Center (Unity Christian)

5. All band/orchestra/choir students will have a combined rehearsal on Wednesday, December 14 at 7:15 a.m. in the HCHS gym to prepare for our combined concert. We are not able to rehearse at the Jack H. Miller Center for the Musical Arts (where the concert is) so we will use this morning rehearsal in the gym to work out logistics.

6. The jazz orchestra is performing at ZCS during the school day on Friday, Dec. 16!

7. The High School Music Department invites you to its annual band, orchestra and choir Christmas concert on Thursday, December 15th at the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts, located on the campus of Hope College. This year we will be offering only one performance time at 7:00 p.m.. We look forward to sharing in the celebration of our Savior’s birth through our music.

Thank you!
Mr. VB
