Band Extravaganza and Swingin' the Night Away!

Dear band and orchestra students and parents,

I hope you had a great week and enjoyed the warm weather!

Here are some important announcements and reminders.

1. On Monday all concert and symphonic band members will meet composer Jim Stephenson during the family flex period in the band room and work with him on his piece. Make sure you have your instrument and music at school.

2. On Tuesday all band students should report to the Jack H. Miller Center for the Musical Arts at 8:00 a.m. to rehearse for the concert. We will have a bus to return students to HCHS at the end of rehearsal. Be sure to take your music and instrument home on Monday. School will be open early on Tuesday morning in case you forget and need to stop at HCHS early on your way to the Jack H. Miller to pick up your instrument and/or music.

3. In the evening band students should arrive in uniform by 6:30 p.m. We will meet in the Jack H. Miller band/orchestra room.

4. Please sign up to help out at the Band Extravaganza Concert on Tuesday! We need offering takers and greeters/program hander-outers.

5. Help us spread the word about the Band Extravaganza Concert and Swingin' the Night Away events next week! Images that you can use to help spread the word are in the March 10 blog post.
